PACKAGING WITH A BETTER END OF LIFE

Small-format flexible fossil fuel packaging such as sachets can be difficult to recover through conventional mechanical recycling systems, particularly when contaminated with food.

For food applications, our certified AS5810 home compostable Misty sachets provide an alternative end-of-life pathway. The small amounts of organic residue left in the sachet such as sauce, condiments, coffee, seasoning or food powders can remain in the sachet allowing both the packaging and residual food to enter the home compost together. There is no need to rinse.

This allows the sachet and residual food/organic matter to be returned to an organic system together, rather than separating, washing and disposing.
