Our reusable Furoshiki was created around a simple idea: beautiful packaging shouldn’t become waste.
Inspired by the centuries-old Japanese art of fabric wrapping, we reimagined Furoshiki as a contemporary alternative to single-use gift wrap, bags, tape and ribbon.
Made from durable cotton fibre, each wrap can be wrapped, tied, carried, gifted and used again and again — becoming part of the gift rather than something immediately discarded.
Award-winning circular design
Originally created as part of our Salt Bags range now available within Salty as a custom order, the product was recognised as a Finalist at the 2019 Best Design Awards and went on to receive Gold at the 2020 Australian Good Design Awards for Communication – Print and Packaging.
The Good Design Awards recognised the wider idea behind Salt Bags: using natural fibres and thoughtful design to create reusable alternatives while encouraging behavioural change around the way we shop, carry and consume.
Our Furoshiki was also selected by De’Longhi for Christmas gifting, showing how reusable design can become part of a premium brand experience.
Instead of packaging that is used once and discarded, the wrap stays in circulation — ready to carry something, wrap another gift or simply be passed on.
